Code selection - MEST Center

The spreading of the data signal in a cdma system is done by applying a code, independent of the data-signal. Code-selection has a large impact on the performance of the system. On the one hand the longer the code, the higher the processing gain which enables us to allow more users in the system.

Practical Processing of GPR Data - New Mexico Institute …

The next step of basic processing is usually to select a time gain for the data set. Time gain has historically been very subjective and also very much display methodology dependent. The fact of the matter is that systematic ways of selecting gain are available.

The input digital signal. If this is the specified input signal rather than sig, the adc_gain and adc_zero parameters must be specified. adc_gain : int, float, optional The analogue to digital gain of the signal (the number of adus per physical unit). adc_zero : int, optional The value produced by the ADC given a 0 Volt input. threshold : int ...

Processing Gain in Spread Spectrum Signals.

11 to 16 bit sequence. The processing gain is approximated as the 10Log[11-16] dB where 11-16 is the length of the PN code. If a code with a length of 16 bits is to be used then the processing gain is equivalent to 10 Log[16] dB or 12.04 dB. To this end these PN signals must possess certain mathematical properties to be useful as part of a DS ...

Gold Plating - an overview | ScienceDirect Topics

The plating process starts with a gold strike treatment to prevent the exchange reaction. The same strike bath can be used for the first rinse after the gold plating. The current density depends a lot on the processing method; that is, 0.2–0.4 Adm −2 is used for barrel plating and 0.5–1 Adm −2 for rack plating.

The gain filter simply changes the amplitude of the signal. The inverted parameter simply inverts the signal. This parameter is optional and the default is to not invert. The gain value is given in dB, and a positive value means the signal will be amplified while a negative values attenuates. The gain value must be in the range -150 to +150 dB.

PID Controller Explained • PID Explained

Gain. Gain is the term used for "multiplication factor". By adjusting the gain settings (or multiplication factor) of the proportional, the integral and the derivative, the user can control how much effect the PID controller has on the output, and how the controller will react to different changes in the process value. P or Proportional

Process Gain - Definition, Meaning, Explanation (1/2) In a spread spectrum system, the process gain (or 'processing gain') is the ratio of the spread bandwidth to the unspread bandwidth. It is usually expressed in decibels (dB). The process gain is the ratio by which unwanted signals or interference can be suppressed relative to the desired ...

Code Division Multiple Access (CDMA) - Complex To Real

Multiplication with the code sequence which is of a higher bit rate, results in a much wider spectrum. The ratio of the code rate to the information bit rate is called both the spreading factor and the processing gain of the CDMA system. In IS-95, the chipping rate is 1.2288 and the spreading factor is 64. Processing gain is usually given in dBs.

exponential gain (type = "exp"): [x_g(t) = x(t)cdotexp(alphacdot t)] Automatic gain control (type = "agc"): make gain equal to the local root mean squared signal. We will first apply a power gain and then an exponential gain. To visualise the amplitude envelope of the GPR signal as a function of time, use the function plotAmpl() as follows:
